The single tourist visa and use of national IDs was formally launched in Kampala by the Presidents of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, in February 2014. The Single visa is a bold step towards promoting East Africa as a single tourist destination and presents multiple opportunities i.e. multi-country itineraries offering a more diverse & rewarding experience for visitors. This will enhance the region's competitiveness and ultimately arrivals; and ease of movement of Tourists across the borders. Under the single tourist visa program, KTF is providing logistics facilitation for the tourism trade to attend and network with the Uganda tourism trade at the 39th ATA Congress and Jaguza International tourism Expo, 13 - 15th November, at Speke Hotel Munyonyo and Uganda Museums respectively. KTF will facilitate for: - Accommodation for 3 nights, Ground transfers including airport transfers
Networking cocktail/dinner opportunity to meet host country government officials and other stakeholders. Delegates are required to meet costs for their own travel to and from Kampala; registration and participation fee of USD100 per person (on Bed and Breakfast) or Registration and participation fee of USD250 per person (on Half Board basis), payable to KTF.
