Call for Expression of Interest - World Travel Market (WTM) London, 4th - 6th November 2019
Date: 9 Apr 19

We acknowledge with gratitude all the immense support received by KTF from its membership and linked organizations, in particular, Kenya Tourism Board (KTB)  towards making our participation in WTM London 2018 a success, not only for our country's brand image but as well as for tourism businesses - KTF members and other affiliates.

As you may be aware, WTM London 2019 is scheduled to take place from 4th Nov - 6th November 2019.  Building on the milestones and achievements of 2018, KTF with its affiliated members have once again taken up the coordinating role in organizing for the Kenyan tourism trade's participation and herein, inform all interested members of the opportunity to express interest to participate - for early preparations and contribution towards a common Kenyan Stand.
  •  Inbound tourism to the UK is approaching 40 million trips annually, while Brits make almost 73 million outbound trips each year.
  • Consolidated arrivals (by air) to Kenya from UK in 2017 closed at 78,778, a variation of 9.5% from the 2016 arrivals which closed at 71,927. Further, the UK market which was traditionally Kenya's leading source market has since 2016 been overtaken by the US, which totaled 89,560 arrivals in 2017. These statistics demonstrate opportunity for more aggressive marketing targeting the UK.
  • "WTM London 2018 recorded an increase in visitors of more than 4% to a record 32,462, with the event seeing almost 89,000 (88,742) visits from 51,409 participants," the organizers announced.
  • In total, 4,664 exhibitors from 182 countries and regions took part in the event.
  • "The record visitor numbers at WTM London 2018 alongside the £3.4 billion in business generated shows that WTM London - as it approaches its 40th event in 2019 - and the travel and tourism industry are both in good health," said WTM London Senior Director Simon Press.
Key reasons to exhibit at WTM London
