Tuesday 27th June 2023. The Minister for Tourism Zambia, Hon. Rodney Malindi Sikumba and the High Commissioner of Zambia to Kenya H.E Mrs. Joyce Kapampa Kasosa together with the key Tourism Departments delegation; met the Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) team led by Ms. Ongalo Susan – KTF CEO, including Ms. Eunice Ogea – Ag CEO PERAK, Ms. Lovince Mkala and Ms. Beatrice Mate, the Skynest by City Blue host – Mr. Jameel, Harish Krishan and Ms. Zarna Soni to deliberate progressive activity plan of the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the respective nations’ Private Sector.
Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) and Tourism Council Zambia (TCZ) signed a MoU on 15th June 2022 alongside the Presidential State visit to Kenya. The MoU aims to mutually strengthen the two state’s private sectors tourism and exchange Business to Business collaborations.
According to the Minister Hon. Sikumba, Kenya and Zambia have enjoyed historic cordial relations that have existed since the two countries became independent and has reiterated on the importance of the two countries private sectors partnership and collaborations to accrue maximum benefits.
KTF team and the Zambian delegation agreed on establishing mirror teams to assist in advancing and implementing the action plan and holding virtual meetings as plans are underway to have a physical meeting in Zambia.
